1) I managed to have a fuuuuuuuuullllllll attendance this week. Haha don't laugh okay, 1st time this entire school year!!
2) I actually finished all my homewerks. With full effort. Omg!
3) I'm going to buy my LX3 later!!
4) My ceiling light is finally here!!!!!!!!

Yay okay here are the things that I need to do by class tomorrow:

2) cut my a5 flyer to size
3) pack my barang barang for llp's shoot
4) charge the LX3
5) Buy things needed for the survivor's kit

Please bring the following materials to DRM this week:

1. One pad of A3 paper (or 4 to 5 A3 sheets)

2. Drawing material (preferably graphite stick, charcoal, pencil, colored pencils, etc. - anything you feel comfortable drawing with)

3. Go to the Internet and/or the library and find 3 paintings or illustrations you LOVE and 3 paintings or illustrations you HATE. (6 images in total)

4. Print or photocopy these in color, A4 size.

5. Bring to DRM class.

P.S. - do not bring pieces of graphic design - bring only "drawn" images such as paintings,drawings, illustrations, etc.

So....... YES I MADE IT TO HARBOUR FRONT TODAY! ON TIME!!
Ahahahaha *pats head*

Kinda spent the whole day doing nothing..
went for lunch at superdog(grr i still want to eat thai xpress :( but i got to eat my fried vege so stil good!),
and then we took a bus to some duno ulu place to visit the HP HQ.

Saw some videos, learnt some things,
touched some machines and brought home some pretty prints.

Ridtzo and Hotshort and I went to catch Underworld 3..
I would say it's quite a good show just i didn't see U1 and U2, so I don't really know whats going on.
*Spoiler* Wah but when the Sonia die I was so damn surprised and sad!!!*Spoiler end*

After that I met up with Cindy and had a dinner at her work place,
it was fun ahaha got heart shaped pizza some more so cute.

Yup that was about it, I managed to buy 2 tissue holders and 1 signage for my room before rushing back to pass someone from my spree her clothes.

And now I'm home. Yay. Haven't had a fruitful day in a long time.
Wah and today's the first day in a looooooong time that I'm doing things away from my tatat.
Kinda feels good and happy but I miss him. Shit.

Ahaha and I bought him the PS1 that he wanted to buy for me..
Was supposed to keep it as a surprise and then tell him only after he found out that the PS1 has been sold.
But I couldn't tahan so I told him ahaha.

I'll take a picture of my room soon, it's so damn cosy.

Woosh!
My furniture finally came today and I spent like most of the rest of the day unpacking things into my room.

And I'm done!
Yays!
I found many things, and lost many too! Ahhaha!!

School attendance is in a mess again, I'll do something about it right now by going to sleep and going to the excursion at HarbourFront MRT 12:30.

First night on a big bed and I'm all alone,
I wonder how it'll be like waking up later in the morning.
I think my room looks damn cozy.
Yays.

The boyfriend's been such a great huge help throughout this whole thing.
Painting my room, masking the lines again and again because he couldn't do it right, carrying things up and down and down and up.. and accepting my temper sometimes.

So nice, where to find?

I spent my Vday09 eve with a bunch of friends and my love at Pasir Ris park.
It was a simple BBQ with a lot of leftovers as usual.
And then on Vday he brought me to NYNY for an impromptu lunch.

No flowers because I specifically said I'll chop his head off if he bought them for me.
A humble tofu shaped acrylic piggybank was my official Vday present.

But you know what?
It's the best Vday I've ever had in the 20 years of my life.
It's not what makes it, is who made it.

There's no pretense of "omg flowers~~~ <3" when I'm silently counting in my mind how much senseless money it would cost, no rush to a very crowded restaurant on our appointed time and still have them make us wait and serve not up to standard food. No competition on the roads to see "whose bouquet is nicer".

You know, money can buy you a date with the prettiest table in the poshest restaurant, and the biggest frozen bouquet of 99 red roses, and that hotel suite that charged extra for "romantic setting" that just plainly means roses scattered here and there.

But money cannot buy you what you lack in your personality, heart, and soul. You can buy time but you cannot buy care and concern to show onto another person. They all come from your heart. Not pocket.

Karma's Pet 160109: Dinner Menu for my illegally hired painter tonight

Baby is at work,
I'm gonna go pompom and head out to grab some groceries to fix him a spread for dinner
so that he will have enough energy to paint my room for the weekend.

Plan for tonight is to scrap away random protruding cement on my wall, and mask up places that are not supposed to be painted.

Tomorrow is to soap clean my walls and start painting my lighter coat.
Sunday, well, is to paint the heavy colors.

Yay.

Oh I almost forgot.

Up for dinner tonight is Grilled Herbed Focaccia Sandwich with Honey Ham, Chilli Beef sauce, topped with extra cheddar cheese; Accompanied by a small handful of Garlic Potato Rostii and mushroom ragout.

I've been quite lazy today, I'm not sure why,
I woke way earlier than school but still didn't make it there.
No second time allowed!

So, I'll make it up to myself by completing these tasks today:
~~1. Remove the freaking makeup I had put for school~~
2. Clear up the dust in my room
~~3. Get my ass down to laying down the new floor plan~~
~~4. Buy paint with my momma~~
~~5. Do the Asprin mask~~
6. Complete 60% of what I'm supposed to do for Studio

And for the rest of this week I am going to:
1. Work on Sat @ Raffles Town Club
2. Paint my room
3. Buy my furniture
4. Do up what was needed for V&P
5. Attend both lessons on Thursday
6. Go CNY clothes shopping with baby
7. Makans for our 6th months miniversary

And for my personal projects:
1. Finish renovating my room

Okay so.. my room is e.m.p.t.y.
Like my clothes are not even here.
All the holes have been sealed up, only the dumb electrical points are not done.

Hubby's been really nice as usual,
spending almost all his free time with me.
School's started, guess what, I'm a real good girl for the time being.
At least to me lah.
I went to school for every lesson there was(okay 2 only but I technically was planning to attend tsk, so angry don't get me started!) this week.

Tomorrow's gonna be a new 4 day school week.
My timetable is ridiculous.
The hours of break in-between the lessons are more than the duration of all the lessons added together.
Duh.

Been hanging out with baby's friends quite often these days,
yesterday we went drinking at Seashell Park because Ah Huat had a bottle of grey goose.
I didn't drink a lot because I just don't feel like it anymore,
but was quite high by the end of the night still.
Baby on the other hand.... lol was quite wasted. (--,)

We(okay la, I) slept for the whole of today until like 1hr ago when baby's mum called to say that there's the LS problem at home again.
So I got disturbed(not from my sleep la, my emotions can) and couldn't go back to sleep and got up altogether.
Makes me wonder how I'm gonna fall asleep later tonight for school in the morning at 9am.

Okay I'm heading down to IKEA now to look at my furniture.
I know a lot of people are against IKEA, but to me it's like Heaven lah.
Everything's so cheap and customizable.

It's like late now,
I was hanging around in Rappelz for the whole day today,
finally able to switch characters.

So my little evil Strider is just a wee bit behind from where I left off in the previous character.

This entry is to say a formal Bye to my room,
because the contractor is coming down to tear everything into bits at 10am later.
I am so damn happy and excited about it.

I took photos, but won't be posting them until Effernasance is up.

Woot,
it's a new year!!
My laptop is back and I'm soooo happy!! :D

School is starting this coming Monday.
I can only say.. I've got.. very helpful classmates.

Anyway back to the "mini resolutions" I made for the holidays:

By 31Dec08 I shall:

1. Do up Effernasance.
~~2. Get rid of junk in my room.~~
~~3. Start Renovations.~~
4. Give birth to Caffy.
~~5. Format this damned laptop.~~
~~6. Transfer all important things into an external HDD.~~
7. Get my skincare set.

Effernasance was 1/2 done, until my laptop died, and I lost all files. :(
But because of the death of the laptop, Acer formatted it(5), and there's no (6) because I lost all information in it!

As for (2) and (3), I'm on the verge of throwing everything out, and renovations are going to start on Monday.

As for Caffy(4)... lol I guess I'll be pregnant for a much longer time. HAH!

Subaru challenge wtf?

It's currently 02:30 and I'm almost 90% done with Graphics comm.
I like it this way, working last minute and all.
Okay la, maybe way TOO last minute.
But I can only work under pressure.
So I guess this is the way to go for me.

Baby was a sweetheart to stay over for the weekend again.
He was like my little ~~bitch~~house husband.
He cooked me darn wonderful things like Mac & Cheese and the fried cheesy potato slices.
And then we made cheese rostii with the rest of the ingredients on Sunday morning.
Awesome shit.
Oh and that's not all,
he cooked me beef salsa to dip chips in,
and then turned it into a crazily good pasta sauce later on when we can't finish it as a dip.

Yes and while baby was slogging out as a husband,
I was stuck to my computer rushing work.
But the progress was great, so I guess it was all worth it.

Yesterday and today(wah nostalgic jap song lol!) were very constructive.
Baby was here with me helping me out with the production
and he's just gone home to scan them into soft copies so I can do some post production work on them.

And a strange fated thing,
so we were listening to 98.7fm on my radio(strange thing 1: we don't listen to radio, and even if we do it'll be 93.3, not 98.7)
and we were talking about how life would be without a car(strange thing 2: we don't talk about this)
then there was an ad for the Subaru Challenge 08 and then I casually mentioned that maybe we won't mind having a WRX for free.

Then we continued to do our work, and suddenly there was this ad that told us that we could call now to get into the challenge. So I dailed using my phone, but nothing happened(as usual), then baby used his phone to call, and it got through.

He: erm it's ringing.
me: huh? it's not supposed to ring.
He: did I get the wrong number?

Okay so ya we got through only to find out that there was only 1 last slot for a female. And then I spontaneously snatched the phone and claimed that I AM A FEMALE. So ya I got in for the challenge like that lol. wth? And they made fun of my I AM A FEMALE on the ad lol. damn.

It's on 8th Nov. Catch it HAHA wth? I don't think I can even last for 1 hour! But I decided that not everyone gets this chance to test their limits so.... yea I think I'm gonna go for it. ;)

Okay baby is home and I will continue to do my work.

Woke up to a squashed-up-against-the-bedframe baby today morning.

I tried not to hog. Guess it didn't work. :x

We went for the pub crawl last night,
it was fun,
headed back slightly earlier because there was lesson(which I skipped anyway) in the morning.

Woke up feeling groggy and famished,
but there wasn't much to eat.
I draagggggggggged love to my afternoon lecture today.

Had so much fun playing Hangman with ridiculous words like "omgwtfbbq".
2 hours later we were decided what the f should we use to fill our fhungry tummies.

Decided on Chongqing steamboat.
Then Jin's Deli.
Then Subway.
Then duck rice that smelt so good(but mind you, I don't eat duck.).
Then Phin's.
Then other random things we passed on the way to subway.

But subway is the way to go.
We were like 2 hungry ghosts,
stuffing our faces with our foot long sandwiches.
Haah.
I had some leftovers and lovely wrapped them into a huge candy.
Then he threw the candy into my bag(imagine how nice it smelt when I opened it just now when I came home hahaha!!)

Right so now he's out shopping with his family for a vacuum cleaner(and his own barang barang),
and I'm here surfing around being sleepy and stressed from the huge pile of work that I haven't done.

What a constructive weekend.

Love came over on frinight to stay over the weekend.
Had a 2hr photoshoot with him,
it was fun.

I didn't have a tripod so used some stacked boxes and books to level my camera,
lathered him in olive oil,
stole my bro's table lamp and dad's umbrolly
and snapped him for the next 2 hours.

Resulted in a bunch of out of focus pictures
an aching boyfriend
and 3 rather presentable photos for post-production editing.

Spent the next hour or 2 tweaking the photos in PS,
and made myself a wall paper that I squeal to every time I click on the "show desktop" button.

It's been really nice for me and him,
if you guys are here to read it.
I know I've been updating rather crazily
with make-no-sense titles and even more make-no-sense text.

I don't know,
I'm just really contented.
There's nothing that I'm lacking in my life.
I found him,
a lover, a friend, a partner, and someone that I can count on.

Yes, vomit inducing, but I still have to write it down.
I've met plenty of people who needed me,
and this is the first person who actually Loves me.

First blog entry for awhile.
Working again, 9 - 5 mon - friday.

I've let myself get too used to that emotional dependence.
Since 13, I guess.

Stepped out for the past week,
did everything I've been wanting to do.

Feels good but just not now I suppose,
too tired to go out and too broke too.
Sun is setting,
it's my favourite time of the day.

I haven't had a normal update-on-my-daily-things entry already, so I shall write one before I leave my office.

So I work early today and came to work,
and my own laptop is still a little wrecked(I spilled half a glass of water on it -_-).

Then have been in the office since,
I had some crazy fishball noodles and was really bland and I wish Pam was here to share the fishballs.

Lovely called to say one of my Robrovskis have died. :(
But since it's already dead there's nothing much I can do about it.

Other than that.. hmm, nothing much happened during the day.

I just placed an order for 2 pairs of gladiators thanks to adeger -_-!
and also paid mimichong for the blablas that she helped me order.
yayness.

I also haven't updated on my BIGI bags and taobao orders.
Tsk. =X

Birthday is really round the corner,
and I really don't want anything this year.

The 5 sides of Intimacy

Intellectual intimacy.
This isn't about discussing highly intellectual ideas. The important thing is discussing your thoughts. They may be thoughts about food, finances, health, crime, work, politics. They reveal something of what's gone on in your mind throughout the day.

Social intimacy.
This has to do with spending time around the events of life. Some of these events we experience together; others happen while we're apart and are shared through open communication. Emotional intimacy.

Alright so as everyone knows since the longest time back,
I WANT TO RENOVATE MY ROOM!!

And well, after procrastinating(and spending the money away!) for so damn long,
I've finally started my real planning and sketches.

I realized the whole "design school" system has gotten into me because I'm doing steps like exactly what I was taught in school. I remember not doing well for my IDEATION module in TP because I.. wasn't interested.

I tell you, it WORKS when you understand the steps. It WORKS when all comes to you naturally and are part of your brainstorming. ;)

Okay so I finally admitted that I'm just a design person and I refuse to LIVE in a room that has totally NO artistic sense or design whatsoever. Right.... yadda yadda, I'm gonna paint a huge mural on my wall. :)

I'm gonna do it Fafi style(google la!), so I did some research today.
Made quite a few sketches and as I progressed, the characters just totally reminded me of the people around me.

So yes, people who love me, I'm gonna paint you on my wall, Fafi style. :)

Anyways these are just researches, so they were sketched off the selected images on the Fafi site. Of course I'm gonna add a personal touch to it when I finalize the design. ;)

AND finally... any idea where can I get deals to "wall" my room with wooden panels to give that nautical/vintage look?
